MG Motors is a globally leading automobile industry, best known for its 'midget' open two-seater sports cars. MG underwent many changes in ownership over the years. MG Motor India, often stylized as Morris Garages, is the Indian subsidiary of Chinese autom otive giant SAIC Motor Corporation Limited. The subsidiary was setup in the year 2017 however, only began its sales & manufacturing operations in 2019. MG Motor India currently has a network of over 65 showrooms across 50 cities in the country and has a manufacturing plant located in Halol, Gujarat. The plant has a capacity of 80,000 units per year.

The manufacturing plant was employed with around 1000 staffs making the time attendance management tedious and time taking, which made the data collection and salary calculation complicated, ultimately hindered the productivity of the HR department. Furthermore, lack of robust attendance policies made the organization susceptible to forded attendance data. To rule out these issues, MG Motor approached ZKTeco for an advanced and centralized time attendance solution for effortless employee data management. In addition, they wanted the attendance platform to be compatible with their existing payroll system.

Solution:

To address our customer requirements, we offered G3 based time attendance solution, a multi-biometric identification terminal which features ZKTeco’s innovation Silk ID fingerprint sensor technology. With the world's leading 3D Neuron Fingerprint Algorithm, it precisely authenticates dry, wet, or rough fingerprints efficiently and accurately. Infrared technology enables the device to function automatically when fingerprints are detected. With the latest facial algorithm, it supports fake face detection. After the installation, the employees were able to register their attendance via multi-biometric authentication such as fingerprint, face and palm. The system enabled employee regularity and time attendance management made simple.
