Orange Line is an automated rapid transit system in Lahore, Pakistan. The line is Pakistan's first metro train. The line is served by 26 stations and is expected to handle 250,000 passenger daily. It is a part of the wider CPEC China Pakistan Economic Corridor. Client Requirements

Reliable Biometric Verification Method

In order to ensure attendance accuracy and prevent fake punch-in or out, the conventional card punching has to be replaced as it does not satisfy the needs due to that it is not capable to verify if the card holder is the authentic person the card belongs to, yet a time & attendance system that truly verifies and authenticates the persons punching in or out does. After having a deeper understanding of different time & attendance methods, our client required a hybrid biometric verification time & attendance system with face recognition function while maintaining card verification for flexibility.

Efficient Attendance Management

Our client also required that they would be able to centrally the monitor the entire entrance control operation of all employees in the entire site, and all access logs are able to be reviewed anytime with generation of attendance reports.

Technical Features

• 15 units of ZKTeco MB40-VL and 35 units of MB360 Time & Attendance Terminals are deployed in their stations.

• All staffs’ personal information, fingerprint and face image data are all registered. They are required to scan either fingerprint or face for verification. Upon successful biometric verification their attendance are taken.

• All terminals are connected to the time & attendance panel and are centrally managed by the ZKBioTime 8.0 time & attendance software. This web-based security platform enables central remote control of attendance management and real-time remote monitoring of all time & attendance status.

Function Description

• BioTime 8.0 is a powerful web-based time and attendance management software that provides a stable connection to ZKTeco’s standalone push communication devices by Ethernet/Wi-Fi/GPRS/3G and working as a private cloud to offer employee self-service by mobile application and web browser. Multiple administrators can access BioTime 8.0 anywhere using a web browser. It can easily handle hundreds of devices and thousands of employees and their transactions. BioTime 8.0 comes with an intuitive user interface that is able to manage timetable, shift and schedule and can easily generate attendance report.

• MB360 is an innovative product featured with ZKTeco advanced fingerprint and face recognition technologies. It supports multiple verification methods including face, fingerprint, card, password, combinations between them and basic access control functions.

• User verification is performed in less than 1 second, which streamlines the process of access.

• The communication between the MB360 and PC is by TCP / IP or USB interface for manual data transfer. Its sleek design fits perfectly in any environment.

• MB40-VL is a versatile biometric identification device equipped with ZKTeco's innovative Visible Light face authentication technology with the latest generation of face authentication algorithms and technology. Allows the device to detect targets at a distance of 0.3 m to 2 m and will automatically activate when it detects faces within the detecting distance

• Therefore, the quality of the verification in terms of speed and accuracy is much better than that of devices using near-infrared wavelength (NIR) light to examine the face.
