Challenges

After a long await, Gyms were allowed to re-open for fitness enthusiasts with strict implementation of safety regulations and preventive measures as gym equipment, lockers and other surfaces of a gym would be frequently touched by several people being the major cause of concern for infectious disease transmission. Due to the current circumstances, Solitaire Fitness Center wanted their gym members to be thoroughly examined especially only individuals wearing Mask to be able to enter inside the center.

Additionally, considering the vast area of the fitness center and a great number of people visiting on a daily basis, manual verification of gym membership would be highly impossible. Hence, the Solitaire management required a system to allow only the authorized members inside.   

Requirements

· Attendance tracking of gym members and trainers to evaluate their regularity and time of their presence.

· Non-contact based verification of gym members and trainers along with Mask Detection Function.

·  Restriction of access to users in absence of mask to avoid respiratory droplet transmission of germs.

· A software solution for centralized monitoring.   

Solution

In order to enhance the administration efficiency of Solitaire Fitness Pro in compliance with the safety precautions, TS200 Entrance Control Turnstiles Integrated with MiniAC Plus Biometric Terminals have been installed in all the centers of Solitaire Fitness. The turnstiles allow only one member at a time, thereby establishing social distancing and the Masked Facial Recognition enables convenient identity verification for gym members and trainers eliminating the need to remove mask. Furthermore, MiniAC Plus terminals accurately record check in/ check out details of users while ensuring only the authorized members access the fitness centers and ZKBioSecurity software helps to manage the records effectively.

Results

· Accurate recording of check in/check out timings of Solitaire Fitness Pro members and trainers.           

· Reduced possibilities of respiratory droplet transmission through Touch-free user identification and Mask Detection.

· Centralized monitoring and attendance record management with ZKBioSecurity along with evaluation of mask wearing patterns of users with MTD module.

·  Enhanced security of Solitaire Fitness centers against unautherized access.
