IP-rated TF1700 --- Good Fit for Outdoor Access Control

Project Description:

Customer: James Construction Group (JCG);

Country: US;

JCG is one of the largest construction companies in the southern US.  The majority of JCG’s employees report daily to their clients’ numerous construction sites throughout the Gulf States and surrounding areas.  Many of JCG’s construction sites present two common challenges: first, safety and security of employees, visitors, equipment, and client property and second, ensuring that labor hours are accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Ensuring accurate time keeping is an issue that all construction companies face and an important part of controlling costs on a construction project.

Implementation Solution

Product Used: TF1700;Access Control;ZKAccess v3.5

After searching for an appropriate site security and time keeping solution for a specific project in Louisiana, JCG installed an IP-rated TF1700 access control readers and linked with outdoor security turnstiles. The TF1700 was a good fit for this particular site because it allowed for both fingerprint validation and traditional card swiping (RFID). Additionally, the TF1700 comes with an IP65-rating, ensuring the TF1700 is not affected by weather and rain, which was a requirement of JCG. The devices were installed with a third-party security turnstile and were set-up to be managed from a central location, utilizing ZK’s access control software. ZK’s personnel were available for installation and configuration assistance during every step of this project. JCG was able to efficiently and effectively provide site control and validate time keeping for over 600 employees every day.
