(One-To-One Verification). Biometric validation method that compares the captured template of a fingerprint, finger vein or face of a user with the same user template stored on the memory of an access control or time attendance device, being necessary for the user to submit a unique identifier such as an ID number or card prior to the comparison.

(One-To-Many Identification). Biometric validation method that compares the captured template of a fingerprint, finger vein or face of a user with all the templates stored on the memory of an access control or time attendance device without the need of submitting a unique identifier prior to the comparison.
